Congratulation to IES students to Select in accenture innovation jockey 3

IES Students Work Appreciated

Recently Yahoo India Private Ltd has taken a note of the work done by four genius students of IES, Bhopal. Yahoo has acknowledged the proposed system which they developed to check on Rogue Bus Drivers.
In the year 2012, the four students of IES, Bhopal Raj Sharma, Nupur Agrawal, Noopur Deo and Pushpendra Singh from Computer Science & Engineering branch had submitted Innovation Jockey idea on Nailing Rogue Bus Drivers.

The idea was to check and reduce rash driving on Indian roads particularly by public and school bus drivers through an ingeniously devised system. The another name of this system is the Vehicle Mapping and Speed Information System.
According to four geniuses this will be an embedded system that uses GPS or signal releasing sensors depending on the cost and reliability. A chip is connected to the speedometer of the vehicles. When the vehicle crosses a certain limit it generates a signal which will be received by a receiver that confirms the speed. Also added chip to the milometers to generate a signal when a vehicle crosses the range of a particular domain.
This system also includes the mapping system. A map shows you where each vehicle is and the speed at which it is being driven. In case of an accident this system also helps establish accountability.
Besides reducing accidents it also helps in child security, and at the same time gives out information on whether the driver is following the designated route or taking unauthorized short cuts. Stolen vehicles can also be tracked easily.
