IES Students Team Amongst Top 6 Teams in Innovation Jockey Contest Season -3
IES Students secured a spot in the top 6 teams as the national level Innovation Jokey Contest Season 3 conducted by Accenture & powered by Yahoo India. Contest had more than 1200 Students from Iris, Deemed University & private college. Yash Aryan from Civil branch & Monika Rajput from Computer Science 7th Sem presented their idea & prototype on Farmer Irrigation Management System an APP which will be of great benefit to farmers and society.
IES Students Got 4th Rank in TCS EngiNX -2014
Country’s biggest technical competition was organized for students from TCS accredited institutes in India. Students across Technical UG and PG category participated in this. Teams took up an online, three-level quiz developed by TCSL. IES student’s idea was ECO system AC with minimum health hazards and comparatively minimum electricity consumption of 8 units against consumption of 13.60 unit’s consumption cost from Rs. 38500/- to Rs. 100/- was appreciable. TCS appreciated their hard work and the team was provided in-house training in TCS. The students also had the opportunity to meet scientist Prof. Pramod Kumar Verma, DG, MPCST, Bhopal.

The Great Mind Challenge 2013 was organized by the multinational company IBM at Bangalore. The contest which saw participation of 2400 students of top 800 engineering colleges from all over the country witnessed a challenging finale where one IES Team won 3rd prize in the Girls Category. Another IES team won 3rd prize in the General Category. The contest was based on first of Big 4 Mobility the girl’s team prepared an APP in which the users could register themselves and receive job related information on their email.
IES Team Excels In National Contest- MOBI- WIZ(TCS)
Developed Mobile Apps. For Farmers
Two team of the IES Group have made it to The Top two in National Level Technical Competition MOBI-WIZ (TCS). The team qualified the finals held at Chennai on 26th March 2014. They received I-Pad, provisional offer letter and internship in TCS. As it is rightly said “Success moves on a wheel named hard work, but the journey is impossible without the fuel named self confidence”. The competition was quit tough as in first round only twelve teams were selected from all over India and only six team came to quarter final after a tough scrutinization of demonstration round. In demo they have to show the uniqueness of their application and easy to use technique. Finally after business presentation only top two team got selected, where the candidates have to satisfy the judges on market value of their product and importance.
TCS Smart Brain Mind Challenge 2015:IES Glimpse at National Stratum
Two teams of IES Group of Institutions stood first and third during a coding contest at Smart Brain Mind Challenge 2015 conducted by renowned Multinational Company of India TCS where many engineering students from all over India participated by uploading their web applications on TCS portal. Rahul Kumar and Rohit Kumar of Electrical and Electronics Branches respectively presented their project on Library Management made with Java platform. Thereby they won a smart watch and an offer of internship from the company in third year itself. In the same contest Kausin Shakil and Mikki Sinha of CS, 6th semester presented their project on Internship Management. Apart from this, a third team was selected as one of the best teams in technical advantage and ranked 27th all over India, for expressing their views on the latest technologies like “Hadoop”.
Sparkle-2K15 Contest - KPIT Technology
KPIT Technology organized a live demonstration and paper presentation for all engineering Students throughout the country on “Twice Better Mobility and Energy”. During pre qualification round of the contest, about 100 college students from all over India took part and shared 400 ideas out of which 60 were phenomenal.Three students (Mechanical branch -8th semester) of IES college gave live demonstration on production of Bio-fuel from synthetic waste in which they used synthetic waste material obtained from cigarette filter, thereby converting cellulose acetate into ethanol bio-fuel. Such an approach is beneficial in pollution free production of petroleum. Apart from this Mratunjay Kumar from Electronics and communication and Satyadeep Bhardwaj from CSE 6th sem. were also selected for poster presentation of Air Controlling Vehicle using ammonia
